We are a dynamic, multidisciplinary research laboratory dedicated to investigating the molecular regulation of the secretory pathway. Our ultimate goal is understanding the critical roles this process plays in intercellular communication, innate immunity, and inflammation.

The secretory pathway is a cellular superhighway that orchestrates the transportation of proteins from where they are made to where they are needed, either inside or outside the cell. It serves as a lifeline of communication within the cell and with its external environment, providing a fundamental backdrop to almost every biological process. We're particularly interested in how the secretory pathway impacts innate immunity - and how it triggers and regulates inflammation, a common response to injury or infection.
